Mr. Manuel Adolfo, the man that started it all....

Parpagkam originated in 1975 by an energetic Martial Arts practitioner, Mawi Adolfo, sensei of Naga City, Bicol Region. Idolizing the principles of Jeet Kune Do of Legendary Bruce Lee and becoming an early student of Aikido in the late 60's during Tohei time created this vast becoming popular Martial Art. Once a follower of Monching Gavileno in his Combat Aikido before, Mawi Sensei modified his techniques incorporating the applied streetlike martial art. Thus, the kicks and punches of Taekwondo, Karate and JKD, Joint locks and Grapples of Jujitsu and the Throws and Submission of Judo and Aikido makes Parpagkam a sensible Martial Art created to Defend some Bad elements in our society. I learn it some 15 years ago and continously learning it, enabling to apply it in my day to day activities, protecting the oppressed and the needy. Its principles are common in the Martial Arts world. The discipline of self and endurance of the body.
